How long have you read the Tarot for, and what inspired you to start?

I became interested in the Tarot when I was in my early twenties, after I had a reading myself, I was truly amazed how accurate the reading was. I followed the guidance given and felt better about my situation. I then thought I would like to learn how to read the Tarot so I would be able to offer advice and guidance for people who were facing difficulties or just wanted to know what the future held for them in different areas of life. I have been developing my skills ever since.

I have always worked in a capacity were I supported or cared for others, so the tarot fitted in very nicely indeed it is very rewarding and fulfilling to offer support to others in the hope that people gain a more positive perspective for a brighter future. The world is not as bad as it seems and like the fool card in the tarot, we are all on a journey of learning and developing which is an integral part of our existence in the world. I am empathic and intuitive. My specialities include career, finances, relationships and family. All I ask is that you keep an open mind and listen to the possibilities in store for you

What is your preferred Tarot spread and why?

The Celtic cross is my preferred tarot spread as it is probably the oldest and most popular pattern for reading the tarot. It has survived so long because the layout of the cards is simple, but powerful.  You receive guidance about yourself and others, your life lessons and your future direction. I also like the five card yes/no spread it is also very useful when the querent has a specific question they would like answered.

Which Tarot deck do you use?

I use the Sarman-Caselli tarot deck as it has traditional symbolism which offers clarity, they are inspired by the famous Waite deck, I feel very connected to the cards and sleep with them under my pillow at times. I also like to charge them up a week leading up to a full moon when our dreams become very vivid. I get really absorbed in the cards when I conduct a reading and let my intuition explain what I pick up form them.

I also like to use the angel cards after I have completed the tarot reading. I conduct a four card spread “what do the angel's want me to know today”. I have had these cards for a long time I love them they have beautiful images and give amazingly accurate reading I feel it is a nice way to round up our conversation, by receiving a message from our guardian angels it’s very positive and uplifting.

Are there any cards that bear particular significance to you?

I feel a strong connection to the Queen of swords, my moon sign is in Libra, so I like balance of all kinds, I consider myself to be firm at times but very fair, I like peace and harmony. L ike the queen of swords I have endured some very difficult emotional times in my life. The clouds have now passed and blue skies have appeared. I have had great learning during these sad times but they did enable me to know what I will accept, what my needs and wants are for the latter part of my life. I would not have wanted to change anything from the past no matter how difficult it became. I don’t ever look back in regret as these times have made and shaped me into the person I am today.

What tools other than the Tarot can a client expect you to use during a reading?

I have level 2 counselling concepts certificate so I use a person centred approach to giving advice and guidance. I have my rising sign in Scorpio so I consider myself to be very intuitive and pick-up on other’s emotions very easily. I am empathic and compassionate towards others.

Have you ever given a reading that stands out in your memory for some reason?

I love it when I start to read the cards and there is a connection for the querent straight away, they confirm that the cards are accurately describing what their current situation is. The best reading’s I have given are when customer’s come back to speak to me at a later date and confirm they have a better understanding of their situation and are feeling a lot more positive and centred.   This is a great affirmation to me that the tarot cards offers a way to help and support people, to gain a better awareness, understanding, insight and acts as a bridge of information from the unconscious to conscious mind. Therefore the tarot has a vast capacity to offer solutions to current situations.
